Science should sometimes mark time for a while too

In my blog of this week I wrote that science should sometimes mark time too for a while. It felt strange to write that down for we have gained so much from science in the last few centuries. How would want to stop that? Still, it sometimes turns out that scientific developments have disadvantages too. For that reason it is good when ethicists and politicians get the chance first to consider this. And sometimes it's also good to listen to people who think differently than the majority of the people do.
